Applicants must be planning to attend college or university full time. “We are looking for the all around good student.” Applicants are not limited to any specific field of study. Applications are in the counseling office. Due May 5. (2-11) |

The Links, Inc |
Seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher who are of African American Heritage may apply for a $500 scholarship from the Quad Cities Chapter of the Links, Inc. Materials must be postmarked by May 9. Applications are available in the Counseling drawer. (4-4) |

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority |
Applicant must be a female of African descent with a minimum 2.75 GPA. A short biographical statement including educational and careers must be included. Ten students will be honored with $2,500 scholarships. Applicants must plan to pursu a career in agriculture at two-year or four-year colleges. Applications are due May 15. Applications are in the Counseling Drawer. (4-4) |

NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers) |
A $1000 scholarship is being offered to a student who enrolls in any ABET accredited engineering college or university, by the local Professional Engineers Association. Applications are in the counseling drawer. They are due May 16. (3-12) |

Morrie Unterschiendt Scholarship |
Scholarships are awarded if there are profits from the memorial golf tournament sponsored in May to honor the son of Morrie Unterschiendt. In the past two students from UTHS have received scholarships of $500 each. Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA. Preference is given to students in financial need. |

Harold Cheek Scholarship |
This $500 award will go to an applicant with a 2.75 GPA or higher. A transcript, resume with activities and employment and a letter of recommendation are needed. Applications are in the counseling drawer. Deadline is May 30. (4-10) |

A $500 scholarship will be awarded. You are not required to be taking engineering courses to be eligible. Requirement is an essay to answer one of two questions: 1) What do you consider to be the single most important problem that is facing society today? Why? Or 2) Why are you a good candidate to receive this award? There is no application packet, just submit essay to scholarships@aesengineers.com .
